Intro to Whitewater Kayaking
2 1/2 days - $375
If you have little to no whitewater kayaking experience but would like to get into the sport and want an opportunity to learn what it's all about then this is the course for you.
This two-and-a-half-day program begins Friday evening on the lake where we go over the whitewater kayaking fundamentals and get you fitted with your gear and boat for the weekend ahead. We finish the evening by paddling on the lake and performing a wet exit. Saturday morning, we reconvene at the lakeside to practice the fundamental strokes, get comfortable moving your kayak, and begin an intro to rolling. That afternoon we transition to the river where we discuss river safety and how to mitigate and manage hazards followed by paddling in currents. From there on, the rest of the weekend will take place on the river. We will start slow but aim to have you comfortable navigating and having fun on Class 2 whitewater by the end of the weekend.
*This price includes all necessary gear rentals including boat, paddle, sprayskirt, PFD, helmet, splash top & wetsuit. Students are welcome to use personal gear if suitable and approved by the instructor. This is a physically intensive course so please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.

The Next Step
3 days - $450
Have you caught the whitewater bug? Ready to invest all your extra income on gear and international paddling trips? Ready to drink warm beers, create life-long friendships, and spend every spare moment watching kayak edits?
This three-day program is for people that know they want to be a whitewater paddler and already have some foundational skills. This course goes nicely with having just done our Intro to WW course, something similar with another school, or maybe your friends have taught you the basics.
We aim to progress your basic skill set and get you more capable & comfortable in your boat to start paddling some Class 2 to 3 whitewater. With 3 days to work with we'll be able to put a big focus on rolling, as well as eddy turns, ferries, scouting, and immersion safety. We'll work on getting you to the next step through practice and repetition. This course will also consist of coaching and feedback on each paddler’s specific needs and abilities as we paddle down the river.
